Hello, readers and writers!
My month-long hiatus is over, and I appreciate those who have stuck it out with me. There has been a lot going on in my personal life, but everything is leading to me being able to dedicate more time to the blog and future goals! Here’s a short list of what I have planned and how it pertains to the future of this blog.
Writing Goals
It’s finally time to work on my manuscript.
Sadly, I haven’t had a chance to work on my new series these last few months. I have the first draft nearly completed and has been sitting around for almost a year, but I haven’t had a chance to truly focus on it and plan the entire thing out. So far I’ve made an outline and given myself some strong deadlines I’ll work overtime to meet so I can get this story out to you all by next fall. That’s my goal!
My hope is that I’ll have plenty of time to promote, release excerpts, and develop more of a following before the release. Stay tuned to my posts if you want updates on how it’s all going. I promise to share my secrets with you all!
Reading Goals
Lately, reading hasn’t been on my agenda. I’ve been focusing so much on my PR internship and my last semester of school that I haven’t been able to sit down and read! That’ll change once I’m graduated. I’ve decided to dedicate at least two hours a day to reading so I can keep up with my review posts twice a week (God willing) and get through some of my how-to writing books. I have a long list that needs organizing and reading!
Blogging Goals
Most importantly, my goal with this blog is to continuously improve with the type of content I’m sharing with you all. I want to have at least one original content post each week with two book reviews. Sometimes I’ll cycle old posts, but I want to make sure I’ve edited it to add new content! My goal is to help other writers navigate the self-publishing world, specifically for romance, and for readers to find some amazing reads as well as cure their curiosity about how it all “works.”
