Hello, readers and writers!
The short answer is a lot! This past summer has been incredibly busy. Like ridiculously busy and dramatic, filled with all kinds of personal issues and turmoils that are finally starting to turn around now.
My life
It’s changed a lot. I live in a completely different city now and have an office job working for the government (not something I ever saw myself doing). Life after college was exceptionally hard, along with other health and financial issues, that it become apparent I couldn’t just live off of writing at the moment, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever put pressure on it like that again.
Passion projects
My blog and writing started out as passion projects. I knew I’d wanted to be a writer most of my life, but I didn’t have the guts to actually go for it. I studied Mass Comm with a minor in writing as I got my undergrad degree. I was very fulfilled in my learning, but I didn’t want to go straight into graduate school. Loans are such a hot topic right now, and I didn’t want to be a part of a statistic on how many millennials there are out there with $100,000+ in debt.
So for now and indefinitely, writing is back to being a part-time passion. I’ll make what I can, but I won’t put a bunch of pressure on it. I’ll just enjoy the journey.
Kickstarter Information
Did you donate to my Kickstarter? If so, thank you very much! An update is that I’m still working on the manuscript. About 92% of it is written and I’m going through an intense editing phase right now. Next step is to finish that editing phase, do another one, send off for professional editing, then edit again and again until it’s finished.
My current goal is to have it ready by December, but we will see how that goes. I technically have until April 2020 to fulfill the orders. Thank you for all the support!
Look forward to more posts from me coming soon! I’ll get back to book reviews and other how-tos on writing, the writing world, and romance!
