Hello, readers and writers!
My TBR list has been growing over the last month as more and more amazing new releases have come out by some of my favorite authors, and I was so excited to finally make time to read R.S. Grey’s most recent release!
She writes such funny, romantic, and swoony novels. I enjoy sitting down and reading her stories, and this one didn’t disappoint either. She has a gift for silly romcom writing, and she’s such an inspiration in the romance indie world.
At least, in my opinion.
Hotshot Doc by R.S. Grey

Synopsis:
Bailey has had a rough start in life, leading her down a path in the medical field where she has stability, health insurance, and the means to provide for her little sister. Her world gets turned upside down when her boss decides to retire, leaving her without a job or any prospects. Well, except for Dr. Russell, but she could never work for him. He’s a jerk. A monter. People fear him and run from him. He’s given his surgical assistants ulcers! There’s absolutely no possible way she could work for him, but she has no other choice.
What I Didn’t Like:
- I’m sitting here, guys, really trying to think of something. Any issue I had with this novel, and I really can’t find any. I loved reading it from beginning to end. So follow to the next section where I explain in detail what I liked.
What I Liked:
- The plot was so much fun to follow. There were wacky moments and situations that made me both super embarrassed for the characters and laughing at their expense. I loved each plotpoint and how it followed through.
- The characters were all very well developed. So many of the secondary characters played their roles, adding to the story as it unfolded. I enjoyed their personalities and the situations that played out because of their personalities. Well done.
- There were so many sweet, romantic moments that had me smiling down at my Kindle while I was reading. Many of the moments were sweet for different reasons too as there were close family ties, reliable coworkers, and helpful friends. I loved being a part of this community.
Overall:
From what you can tell so far in the review, I absolutely loved the book. I was already looking forward to rereading it one day while I was still in the first quarter of the story. I would definitely suggest this book to anyone interested in reading indie romance. It’s funny, fun, and safe in a lot of ways. A great starter book into our world!
