Hello, readers and writers!
My reviews are still on hold at the moment while I try to navigate my personal life. My daily schedule runs from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. most days, minus the weekend, so I haven’t had much time to read at all. It’s been rough since I absolutely love reading, but school, my internship, and work have to come first, unfortunately.
So I thought I would make a post showcasing the new authors I’ve tried this year and my feelings towards them and trying new authors. I’d love some opinions and suggestions in the comments if you have any, and I’ll add them to my TBR! I suspect I’ll be back to reviewing regularly in August!
Lucy Score
ABOUT LUCY
From what I know of Lucy so far, she’s a really sweet person and an amazing author. I’m in her Facebook Group that I joined after FINALLY reading No More Secrets and The Worst Best Man. Her group is interactive and fun, and I enjoy getting to know her online.
She’s a bestselling author with a massive, supportive following. Readers absolutely LOVE her. She enjoys reading as well and has been writing full-time from Pennsylvania for a while now. She has an obnoxious cat and a supportive husband as well. She’s awesome.
HER NOVELS
Blue Moon Series (6)
- Her most recent release came out this month, and I’ve only read the first book in the series! The whole series centers around a town called Blue Moon, and she writes hilarious stories with strong female characters. This series has been followed closely by her readers and loved.
Bootleg Springs (2)
- This series is one that she’s been collaborating with Claire Kingsly on! I’ve reviewed the first two books in the series, and I’m looking forward to more in the winter!
The Worst Best Man
- This is the second novel I’ve read by her, and I loved where the story took me. This story traveled and the characters evolved throughout. She’s a wonderful author.
There are 7 more novels she’s written, two of which are part of another series! If you’re looking for a new author obsession, Lucy Score has enough novels to keep you busy for a while!

A.M. Johnson
ABOUT AMANDA
From what I know of A.M. Johnson, she’s a nice person. I’ve only read one of her novels, but I was so freaking jealous of her writing ability. I’m looking forward to reading more of her work, and I hope to connect more with her in the future! According to her Amazon page, she’s got three children and loves reading as well as writing. She lives in Utah and moonlights as a nurse on weekends.
HER NOVELS
Breakaway is the first and only novel I’ve read from her so far! I’m so glad I decided to write this article because it made me do more research on her to figure out she actually has 8 more books out! I loved the way she wrote, and I definitely want to read more of her in the future.

Kennedy Ryan
ABOUT KENNEDY
From what I know about Kennedy, she’s a very interactive social media person. As you can see in her contact information below, she’s everywhere! She seems to want to make it as easy as possible to get in contact with her, and she’s even responded to some of my stuff on Instagram! I read her most recent release and absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to dig in deeper. While doing my research on her, I’ve joined her Facebook Group, and I was already following her on Instagram.
HER NOVELS
Long Shot is the only novel I’ve read from her so far. I loved it so much and appreciated the way she took on such a sensitive topic. I’m looking forward to the second in the HOOPS series that comes out in September, but I’m also wanting to read some of her other novels as well. I’ll share what I think with you guys when I do!

Trying out new authors is an important way to increase your library, so give these ladies a chance if you’re looking for some fresh reads! Only if you haven’t heard of them, of course! If you already love them, tell me why in the comments!!
